The ONE FLEW OVER THE Cuckoo's Nest actor was brought up by his grandparents JOHN and ETHEL NICHOLSON in the Neptune, New Jersey home, and spent the first 37 years of his life believing they were his parents, until it was revealed in 1974 that his 'sister' JUNE FRANCES was actually his mother.
Remax has placed the 1920s home for auction on eBay.com at a starting bid of $449,000 (£249,400), which is set to end on 18 November (06).
The home is actually listed as the place of his birth on his birth certificate, however Bellevue Hospital Center in nearby New York City has also been named as such.
